Dandelion Vineyards Wines & Cases
Individual Wines & Cases from Dandelion Vineyards, Australia
Dandelion Vineyards was established in 2007 and is a fine fusion of vineyards, vignerons and artisan winemaking. Drawing on the fruits of the Adelaide Hills, Barosso Valley, Eden Valley, Fleurieu Peninsula and Mclaren Vale of South Australia, the award winning wines are the product of a winning combination of old vineyards and the highly talented young winemaker Elena Brooks.
At the Fine Wine Company we are delighted to present these white, red and rose wines of great poise and feel sure that you will be keen to add them to your collection or to feature them at your table. The wines are the product of a lifelong journey to understand the true essence of fine wine but why the name Dandelion? Well the moniker was chosen because the bright and breezy bloom shows its head at the first signs of spring and then returns to the soil to richly fertilise the vines.
So where should we start with our recommendations? Perhaps with the Wonderland of the Eden Valley Riesling, 2013. Bone dry, this is bright and extremely fresh wine which is high in natural acidity. Intense smells of lime, citrus blossom, apple and cinnamon precede flavours of apricot and mandarin on the palate developing into lemon meringue.
The Lionheart of the Barossa Shiraz, 2011 is an attractively intense crimson with hints of purple hues. Blue fruits and Christmassy spices assault the senses along with dark cocoa. This is a wine with a generous palate filling the mouth with berry fruits, raspberries and sweet festive spice and which offers a youthful finish.
We can't leave the Dandelion Vineyards without mentioning the Legacy of the Barossa Pedro Ximenez, 30 Year Old. Possessing and earthy amber to orange rusty hue and zesty nose of citrus peel and maple syrup this is one to serve moderately chilled with a second bottle close at hand! It is sweet and very rich on the palate and delivers a long and lingering finish that will send you back for more.
