    Age Restriction

    It is an offence to buy or attempt to buy alcohol if you are under the age of 18. It is also an offence for any person over the age of 18 to purchase alcohol on behalf of somebody who is under the age of 18. Please note that The Fine Wine Company will not sell alcohol to any person who we believe to be under the age of 18. If our couriers are in any doubt about age of the recipient on delivery, they will request some form of ID. If the person receiving the wine is unable to produce valid ID, unfortunately our couriers will be unable to leave the wine.

    By placing an order on the www.finewinecompany.co.uk website you are adhering to this requirement and confirming that you are 18 years of age.

    This service is available Monday to Saturday 12 noon - 8pm, all times GMT. Out of these hours there is an answer machine - even out of hours we regularly check for messages and we will come back to you as soon as possible to answer your query. Please do not hesitate to telephone us during these hours if you wish to discuss any part of your order, either before placing it, while awaiting delivery or once it has arrived.

    Payment

    All prices are inclusive of Value Added Tax at 20%.

    All products offered are subject to availability and remain the property of The Fine Wine Company Limited until payment is received in full.

    We accept payments by Maestro, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, Visa Debit, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Credit cards are charged at time of placing order via this website.

    We use the best encryption systems available to ensure your credit card details are secure; all credit & debit cards are authorised by Sage Pay. Sage Pay is an intermediate party who provide secure on-line payments and are approved with the majority of UK acquiring banks.

    Cooling Off Period

    Under the Distance Selling Regulations, you may cancel a distance contract to purchase a product or products from us at any time within 7 working days after the day you received the relevant product or products (subject to the limitations set out below).

    In order to cancel a contract in this way, you must give to us written notice of cancellation. This can be done by email to info@finewinecompany.co.uk quoting your order reference number, full name and address.

    If you cancel a contract on this basis, you must promptly return the products to us, in the same condition in which you received them. Items must be returned in their original packaging and in re-saleable as new condition.

    If you cancel a contract on this basis, you will be refunded in full the cost of the goods. However, we are unable to refund any initial outbound delivery charge you have paid, and you will be responsible for paying the cost of returning the product to us.

    Please be mindful that until the product is safely returned to us it is your responsibility to ensure it stays in perfect condition. Returned items will be fully checked and photographed on return. Any items that are received by us in a damaged condition will not be eligible for return or refund and any such items will be returned to you.

    Vintages

    Due to the nature of the product being supplied from vineyards, vintages may differ from those shown on this website. We will endeavour to keep these up to date and inform you of any differences between products ordered and those available.

    Other Information

    We make every effort to ensure that the information on this web site is accurate and current, however The Fine Wine Company Limited reserves the right to change price and availability information without notice. In the unlikely event that we have run out of an item on your order, we will contact you to arrange a replacement. If we cannot contact you in time to meet our delivery goal, we reserve the right to effect suitable replacements anyway.

    Delivery Charges

    Orders up to the price of £200 will attract a single delivery charge of £8.95 provided that goods are being delivered to a single recipient at a single UK delivery address.

    Orders over £200 will have FREE delivery provided that goods are being delivered to a single recipient at a single UK delivery address.

    Sale or Return

    Sale or return is only available by prior arrangement and at the sole discretion of the Fine Wine Company.
