Huia Wines & Cases - New Zealand
Huia has been producing fantastic wines since 1996 from its home in the fertile Marlborough wine region on New Zealands South Island. Huia Vineyard produces a number of different wines, including many popular blends and varietals like Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay to name just a few.
The name Huia has been adopted from a bird of the same name that was native to New Zealand before its extinction in 1907. Today in New Zealand this bird serves as a reminder as to the fragility of eco-systems and the importance of protecting the natural environment. Its for this reason that Huia is an apt name for Huia Wines, as this vineyard has a distinct focus on sustainability, bio-dynamics and organics.
Huia wines are bursting with flavour. The temperature of the Marlborough Region is perfectly suited to the slow ripening of grapes, with cool summer evenings and an even spread of rainfall. This slow ripening is crucial for creating wine that embodies strong fruity flavours like those of Huia wines. For information on the specific Huia wine varieties that we have available, please look to the product descriptions of individual products.
Here at The Fine Wine Company you will find a great selection of Huia wine to choose from, including Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewurztraminer, and in a number of different vintages. You can find both Huia wine cases and individual bottles available for purchase.
